
Lorena Degue graduated as an Occupational Therapist in Argentina in 2004. Since then she has been working with young, adult and elderly clients gainingextensive experience in the area of neurological rehabilitation and other health conditions. She has a wealth of experience working with people who have suffered spinal cord injury, stroke, traumatic brain injury or who have been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s Disease among other neurological conditions.

In 2012 she established STEP FORWARD providing private OT Rehab services in Ireland. She visits clients at home, at work or in nursing homes nationwide to ensure the approach is truly client-centred. Her vocation as an occupational therapist is to help clients to make meaningful functional progress in the context of their lives, helping them to regain independence and autonomy in their homes, at work and in the community.
Lorena started practicing yoga in 2013 and in 2017 completed her 200-hour Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training. After experiencing the personal benefits of yoga and meditation she started to implement it with her clients as part of an integrative health approach.
In addition, she trained as a chair yoga, prenatal and kids yoga teacher. In 2019 she trained as a ThetaHealer®and is currently completing a European Master’s in Aromatherapy.
These integrative practices give her a better understanding of the Mind-Body-Spirit-Soul connection. It is her mission and passion to assist people to improve their quality of life by integrating evidence-based OT treatment with a natural, holistic and integrative health approach.
Lorena is CORU-registered, and a member of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland and the World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
